Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Workshop
ISMP Canada has developed the Canadian Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Framework© as a
team-based, systematic and proactive approach identifying ways a process or design can fail, why it might fail, the effects of
the failure and how it can be made safer. At the end of the one day FMEA workshop participants will increase their knowledge
about the impact of system factors on error potential, understand how human factors engineering principles apply to healthcare
environments, learn the steps to conduct an FMEA and develop the expertise to serve on an FMEA team in a healthcare setting.
