This one hour webinar identifies strategies and actions to assist in eliminating the use of dangerous abbreviations, symbols and dose designations within your facility.

  • Provide incident examples involving dangerous abbreviations;

Shirley Sabovitch, RegN, BScN

Shirley is a medication safety specialist at ISMP Canada with over 25 years of nursing experience in healthcare facilities and also in academic centers. Currently, Shirley is involved in medication system reviews as part of the ISMP Canada consultation program, delivery of educational workshops (Root cause Analysis [RCA] and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis [FMEA] across Canada), and responding to general inquiries received by ISMP Canada for the purpose of enhancing medication safety and facilitating knowledge translation.
