ISMP Canada invites you to attend a webinar about the benefits of reporting critical incidents related to medications or IV fluids.
This one-hour webinar will provide an overview of the reporting process using National System for Incident Reporting (NSIR), give you an inside look into the activities that transpire after you submit a report, and highlight key findings from the recently released Ontario Hospital Critical Incident Analysis Report.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will:
- Recognize how critical incident reporting helps strengthen Ontario hospitals’ ability to prevent or reduce the risk of harmful medication incidents.
- Understand how individual incidents are translated into learning for hospitals through the Ontario Critical Incident Learning program.
- Be able to generate high-quality incident reports.
Audience:
All healthcare providers with responsibility for reporting or reviewing medication incidents in acute care including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, risk managers, directors, and senior leadership.
