Presenter
Atsushi Kawano, RPh, BSc, MSc, BScPhm
Atsushi Kawano is a graduate of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Waterloo (2013). Since graduation, Atsushi has worked as a community pharmacist and as a Medication Safety Consultant for ISMP Canada. In his Medication Safety Consultant role, Atsushi supports medication safety projects related to community pharmacy practice, including Multi-Incident Analysis of medication incidents reported to the Community Pharmacy Incident Reporting (CPhIR) Program. Most recently, he assisted in the development of the Medication Safety Culture Matrix (MedSCIM) to help healthcare settings adopt a novel approach to assessing patient safety culture. He was also involved in developing a new program providing on-site assessments for community pharmacies. Atsushi has (authored/co-authored) several articles related to medication incidents in community pharmacy.

We are located in the Procter & Gamble Building - 4711 Yonge Street - North of the 401 on the East side of Yonge Street, South of Sheppard Avenue.
