The label on a health product communicates key information and is an important aid in product identification, selection and administration. The ability to perform these activities safely is dependent on the end user being able to read and understand the information on the label. ISMP Canada is currently exploring the development of a checklist for safe labelling of compounded products—especially parenteral solutions and oral liquids.
